Good afternoon, everyone! Recently, our school has run into some problems with
developing a love of reading and meeting AR goals. I know this is a hot topic, but
without getting into a debate over the pros and cons, I am in need of some ways
that you run AR and ways you find balance between these two issues. My school is
very pro AR, but I have been talking with my principal about some of the challenges
we face in the library with finding age appropriate books and books in which the
kids are interested. She just called me, and we are having a faculty meeting about
this topic tomorrow morning at 8 am. I get to tell my side of the story. I know
AR is here to stay, at least at my school, but I want to find ways to find a
balance between AR and developing a love of reading. Any suggestions you could
pass my way will be greatly appreciated! TIA!
