[LM_NET] Elem: Comparable book for Bridge to Teribethia

I have a fifth grade class reading Bridge to Terabithia and one student has a 
parent that has requested to have her students read a different book.  I am looking 
for a book that is comparable in theme (Friendship) to Bridge to Terabithia.  This 
is a special ed student who is going to have to do some of this on her own since 
her parents have asked for a different title from the class choice.  Do you have 
any suggestions for a book that is on about a third grade reading level that deals 
with friendship.  It does not have any curse words in it.  Thanks for your help.
