Good morning!
I have been asked to support the special education teachers for Abilities Awareness
week in early March. Each teacher will be sharing mostly nonfiction books with the
regular ed classes, demonstrating various equipment in the classrooms, teaching
sign language, etc. I would like to share some fiction books, particularly picture
books, in the library during that week. Our adaptive P.E. teacher is going to read
Tacky the Penguin and Thank You, Mr. Falker.
I would like to TARGET other elementary fiction and nonfiction books relating to
disabilities. I found a good hit in the archives from 1997, but I am hoping there
are some more recent titles.
Our district is still struggling with filters, and I have had problems with LM_NET
replies bouncing. My personal email is MCLARK2105@AOL.COM. Thanks for your
understanding if your email is blocked or bounced--I've been promised some action
on this problem!
