I am participating in some grant writing for a high school science
department and would like recommendations -- specs -- for equipment
that will allow students to create, film, and edit science vignettes
for playing to other students/educators.

We would like specs for:
Macintosh computers -- obviously they will have imovie on them but
are there any other considerations? desktop or laptop? amount of
power necessary? General advice?

Video cameras? I know nothing about this -- best kind; storage type?
Are there cameras that one can directly download onto the Macs? for
editing?

What is the method of storage for the finished product? DVD?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Sharron
