I have a teacher who is planning on teaching Ragtime by E.
Hello all,

I have a teacher who is planning on teaching Ragtime by E.L. Doctorow and Catcher
in the Rye this year. She knows these have been challenged often in the past
(especially Catcher) and would like to know what specific passages have been cited
in these challenges so that she can be prepared should an incident occur. We can
find the general reasons for challenges and language , but would like the specific
passages that were used to illustrate these objections. I am also emailing the ALA
Office for Intellectual Freedom, but thought that your collective wisdom could help
as well!

Could anyone provide this information or know where I could find it?

Thanks!
