Hi,

I just ran across this post and thought I would reply. I'm sorry you didn't get the
point (or humor)
of the video about the 1966 librarian. As the description on the site states, it is
a clip from a larger
video project (also available on the site.) Maybe out of the context of the overall
video it didn't
make as much sense to you as it might. The "Blind Date" video is another clip from
the same
overall project. Anyway, thanks for your input and comments.

>>Hi, Shonda and LM_NETters..
I must say I wasn't too impressed by the video which pokes fun at the 1966
librarian. I think I have a fairly well developed sense of humor but I'm not
sure I get the point: Is she still around forty years later? Probably; Were
all librarians in 1966 like her? Most certainly not.
Poking fun at ourselves can be therapeutic but I prefer the other video by
Doug called the "Blind Date" <

I plan on using it with my teachers this year just as a reminder that we can
be useful to one another.
And Doug (Dr. Loopy) -- do keep up the good work -- just try not to be too
mean to us veteran librarians.
