[LM_NET] HIT: Inspirational Back to School Book for Teachers

Thanks to everyone who suggested books for my principal to share with teachers on 
the first day of school.  Great ideas.  And great people on this list serv who 
always come through with ideas and are willing to take the time out of their days 
to share and help each other out.  I don't know what I would do with out LMNET.  
Here the suggestions, although I don't know which one he picked yet. 
 

 

Overwhelming Favorite was:  Mrs. Spitzer's Garden by Edith Pattou, 2001, Harcourt.



Second Place:  First day jitters         Danneberg, 

 

Toot and Puddle books by Holly Hobbie are great!!  I also like Little 
Pea by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

 

I love the book, Walk On! A Guide for Babies of All Ages by Marla
Frazee

 

The Okay Book and 

 

Cookies, Bite Sized Lessons by Amy Rosenthal

 

Teachers Need Tugging Too! by Kimberly P. Johnson

How about one of Jon Muth's retells?  I love The Three Questions.

 

I Love School!" by Philemon Sturges

 

Scuttle's Big Wish by Sean and Ryan Delonas and Wolves by Emily Gravett are two 
marvelous picture books with big messages for kid and adult alike!
