Thanks to all who responded!

I am looking for title suggestions for a book study. The book needs to
be professional in nature and appeal to librarians preK-12. Thanks in
advance, and I'll post a hit.

I just finished a book called Powering Up, learning to teach wiell with
technology by Eileen M. Coppola

Dewey we need to get organized?
Colette D. Eason Marsalis Library MLS Dec. 2003

I did a book study last spring--_A Mind at a Time_, by Mel Levine. It explains why
kids think differently and how to address their learning needs. It was very
insightful. This book appealed to media specialists and teachers.

Nonfiction Matters. I did my professional development on it last
year. I had a problem with the style of research since I am not in
control of that. BUT it was very helpful in getting a budget for the
library to beef up the nonfiction. It was wonderful. Loved how it
coorelates with testing.

I don't think you can go wrong with this one. I've used it extensively this summer
and want to do a study with the librarians in my district. The chapters are
fantastic, up to date, and written by top experts. It has been empowering for me,
as I am the new, and first-ever Head Librarian for our district.
