Hello All,
My name is Tasha Squires and currently I'm in the school library media program as a
student at Dominican University in Illinois. I worked as a young adult librarian
for about nine years in a public library and have realized I want to work more
closely with students and teachers.
I'm looking for school library media specialists who have partnered with public
libraries to provide better service to their students.
Did you initiate any kind of contact with your local public library? If yes, how
and who did you talk to? If no, have you ever thought to do so?
What kind of a reaction did you get from the public library staff?
What were the results of your efforts?
Any projects, anecdotes, or advice in this area would be very helpful to my
research. Feel free to email me off list at tasquires@lisjobs.com
Thanks in advance!
Tasha
