I've had my laptop for almost a year now, but use it very infrequently. I never
even set up a password or security settings, since I seldom take it out of the
case. Used it for 10 days on vacation last month - and for the last several days
for a school project - no problem. Last night when I tried to power off I received
a message about "another user", but since I am the only user, I ignored it and
tried to power off anyway.

Suddenly I had an "UnLock Computer" message, saying the computer was in use and
only LEAH/Leah Hawkins or an administrator can unlock it. The cursor is flashing &
prompting for a user name, but no matter what key I strike I get a gong sound and
nothing is typed. I've tried CNTRL ALT DELETE and still nothing happens. Even
the power key is locked - I can't turn it off!

Anyone else had this problem and can give me an idea how to fix it?
