Hello School Library Media Specialists:
The state of Oregon is planning a statewide celebration of the freedom to
read during Banned Books Week and the month of October. The 2007 celebration is
sponsored by the Oregon Library Association, Oregon Association of School
Libraries and the ACLU of Oregon. One of the most frequent requests from last
year’s participants was for lesson plans that librarians could offer to
teachers. We would appreciate any help you can give us, not only for lesson
plans,
but also ideas for displays and programs that you have used
for Banned Books Week.
Please send any information to Candace Morgan
(representing the Oregon Library Association Intellectual Freedom Committee
and the ACLU of Oregon) _cd_df_morgan@msn.com_ (mailto:cd_df_morgan@msn.com)
.. Thanks for your help.
