Hi Everyone,

I'm getting ready to prepare my students for our school's annual author
visit.  This year, James Gelsey, author of the Scooby-Doo books will be
visiting.  I was about to start creating a PPT presentation to show that
kids about his life and work.  I thought that before I started, I'd ask
this great list if anyone had one already that they'd be willing to

Subject: GEN: Library history

In preparation for an eventual change to a new circulation system, I've 
started reviewing my collection book by book, with the primary emphasis 
of weeding. The very first shelf has _The Library in America : A 
Celebration in Words and Pictures._  The back of the dust jacket has a 
black-and-white photograph of five women on horses in front of a 
two-story stone building with the sign:
USA
Pack Horse
Library
WPA
These ladies are part of the "packhorse librarians in 1938 in Knott 
County, Kentucky, part of a WPA program to bring books to mountain folk."

I've deleted this 1986 book from the official records, but it will 
probably remain in the back room for a while.

Graupman, made a flash video out of cover pictures of our top ten
checkouts for this year and put it on our library web page (which he

it on our library page too.  Hopefully, Justin can make a flash video of
