Long ago on LM_NET, before our signature lines were standardized, it  
was more common to include something else, along with our  
identifiers.  A slight paraphrase of one of those comes to mind as  
part of this discussion. I don't remember who used it, or  I would  
give credit to our very forward-looking colleague.


Technology will not replace librarians, librarians who embrace  
technology will.
