Hello! I have a parent who asked me for books for her 3rd grade son,
who is short for his age. When the teacher had them do a vocabulary
exercise and use words from a specific list to describe classmates,
they described him as "dainty." Other kids are also apparently
teasing him, too. I remember my brother going through the same
problem, and how hard it was for him.
Can you recommend any books--both books about boys of short stature
and also books on helping kids cope with that problem (both for
parents or for kids)? The only book that I had that appeared on my
OPAC was Stink the Incredible Shrinking Kid (Judy Moody's younger
brother, for those who know the JM series). I appreciate any help you
can give me, and would be glad to post a HIT if it would help others,
too!
