Good discussion idea. I keep indexed magazines for five years, and then
pass the old ones on to the art teacher for anyone to cut pictures out.
I don't have much call for magazines even that far back, so I'm thinking
that I may keep back issues only three years. Since our state standards
only address current subscriptions, I suppose I could be legal by
keeping ONLY the current issue, but I think that may be a bit extreme!
I do not keep back issues of newspapers, other than in the recycling
bin. When the bin is full it is emptied, so no back issues for a bit.
