[LM_NET] MS: Books for Guided Reading

I have been given the task of purchasing the books for the new guided reading 
program in our middle school.  Our groups meet for 25 minutes where they read aloud 
from the same book, do journaling, etc.
 
I have some ideas for titles, of course, but we need to purchase a large variety of 
books so I'm turning to you for help.  I need suggestions for books at all reading 
levels for science fiction/fantasy, mystery, sports, western, action/adventure.
