Hello Shonda and all LM_NETters,
Here is a problem I have with lists (and I did include these on my
blog Saturday). As soon as we create them, we wash our hands of them.
We plop them on someone else's desk and say "there you go, solve all
our problems for us." For example, every year during Affiliate
Assembly of AASL, someone brings up the problem of needing
pre-service educators to be taught about school library programs.
Okay, every year we say it's a problem. How are "we" going to fix
it? What are "we" going to do about it? What have "we" tried? What
works and doesn't work? Let's hammer this thing out. Share what's
going on, not just here on LM_NET, but also on the wiki I created at
http://lmcpreservice.pbwiki.com/ Go and edit that thing. The password
is summit. Note that pbwiki is temperamental so we may have to wait
while others are frantically editing and writing about what they have
done. As soon as you discover a better, or more stable tool, share!
#8 Include info lit in teacher preparation curricula
#1 Mesh library added value into educator learning environments.
Thanks for continuing the discussion.
Diane
