Thank you, Collective Brain!  

My original request was about using digital images of book covers for a 
Fiction/NonFiction Graphic Organizer for Kindergarteners.  The answers that I got 
are as follows:

Dan Robinson said "Since you'll be using the covers from Amazon, go to their site, 
and see what the permitted uses are. If your use doesn't seem to be covered, there 
should be a contact person at Amazon who you can write to. It would be different if 
you were scanning the covers yourself. Then you would need to get your permissions 
from the book publisher. "

Cheryl Youse said "I did not see your post (our internet has been down and I 
deleted some I didn't have time to read).  If your question was can you use digital 
images from the internet of book covers to promote the books for educational 
purposes on your website, (i.e. to promote new acquisitions, Battle of the Books, 
etc.) the answer is that it is legal.  When I was working on my MLS
at IU a few years ago this was a huge concern so we worked hard for the
correct answer."
