Dear wise ones,
The librarians in our district talked a little this
year about possibly changing automation systems in the
(hopefully near) future. We would like something with
a web-based catalog, and something we could by as a
district and install on a central server would be
sweet. We of course would need functions including
cataloging, circulation, reports, and OPAC. I started
looking around online and there were so many different
choices (each saying they're the best), so I thought
I'd dip into the well of knowledge that is LM_NET.
Any suggestions?
We're all Windows, with some on 98 and some on XP.
We also have no idea what we would be able to spend -
and I have no idea how much this type of thing would
cost. Any info provided will be appreciated - I can
also post a hit if I get enough responses and people
are interested. Thanks in advance.
