Are you going to ALA in NOLA, and/or NECC in San Diego, and just can't
resist taking notes in workshops and sharing what you've learned?
AASL's (about to be) official blog is recruiting volunteer 'reporters'
to provide a vicarious conference experience for those who are unable
to actually attend, by providing up-close-and-personal accounts of the
events and activities at those national conferences. We're looking
for both new attendees and old hands in order to offer a wide variety
of interests and perceptions.
See http://www.noodletools.com/aasl for examples of conference blog-posts.
Basic requirements:
-- your own laptop and net access at the conference.
-- ability to report on at least two events per day within 4 days of
the program.
-- familiarity with web-publlshing formats such as WordPress or Blogger.
Interested in being part of the AASL blog-crew for June/July?
Please send an email to AASLBLOG@GMAIL.COM by June 8, with
--a brief intro, so that we can ensure that we have a wide range of
interests and demographics represented, and
--a sample report (200-400 words) of ANY workshop or program you've
attended recently, summarizing the content of the program and its'
value to school librarians.
