Three weeks ago we were able to get marc records from the Library of
Congress and import them into the Alexandria automation system. The next
time I tried, they wouldn't import and Alexandria Tech support said they
weren't in a marc format. Everything had looked the same when we collected
the records.
Today I tried getting a marc record and could see right away that the
format wasn't correct for importing.
Does anyone know what has changed with the Library of Congress in the last
month and how we can solve this problem?
I do purchase marc records when I'm ordering from a book jobber, but the
Library of congress was great for all those books that I buy from book stores.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
