I have just been hired as the School Media Specialist in a High School that
has not had a librarian in a number of years. I would like to write a
newsletter to get both staff and students interested in the library. I have an
idea of what I would like to put into it but would like a few more suggestions.
If any of you have newsletters I would love to see what you do with them and
what information you include. I think I will start off slow with a
newsletter published three times a year--Fall-Winter-Spring/Summer.
I would like to add that the school is located in a predominately Spanish
neighborhood so that many students will be ELL students.
Here are the ideas I have so far:
College Corner-Talk about college requirements
Focus on Poetry
Student Book Review
Award Winners
Recommended Reads
Who is Dewey and What do those numbers mean
Thank you for any help you have to offer
