Does anyone have a contact or an update on the ALA New Orleans book drive?
I have a sister who is "connected" with the Hollywood crowd. She asked me
about "some librarians grassroots effort" to help with books. There seems to
be some interest but I need to give her more specifics. Anyone willing to take
this one on?
From what I can tell, Alabama is rebounding fairly well. I know
Mississippi and Louisiana can use all the help they can get. I'll forward any
information to their publicity pipe line and see what happens. I'd love to get
some mileage from being one of the "grassroots" librarians....:)
