LM_NET Archive



One of our English teachers wants her students to read a novel about a
specific topic or time period and then do a research paper. Can you suggest
YA novels that would lend themselves to research? I'll post a hit if I
receive enough responses. Classics are okay, too. Here are a few examples of
books I've thought of:

Prey by Crichton - research artificial intelligence
My Sister's Keeper by Picoult - research genetics
Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan - research Chinese culture
Beloved by Morrison - research slavery
