I'm another leftover person. Now that kids are gone, my wife will often
make enough for four portions. We eat two for supper, one is my lunch
the next day, and the other is either her lunch (she is a substitute
teacher) or my lunch the following day. She also stocks up on frozen
dinners whenever there is a really good sale, so there us something in
the freezer for her should she get called at the last minute.
I'm right across the hall from our cafeteria, so today I've been
smelling the brownies that have been baking. There are always extras of
such things, and at the end of the day a plate will appear in the
teacher's work room. Thursday nights is also time for a graduate class
that is taught via ITV, so there will be a plate of goodies for us as
well. I make the coffee, and we have a really good evening. Last
semester there were about 6 of us in the class, and I think our numbers
will be greater tonight.
