I've asked this earlier in the year...but I still need more ideas!
I have an AP Science teacher who insists that we do NOT offer enough online
databases for our high school students in science. I offered him the Gale Science
Resource Center database trial and he turned up his nose at it ---it's still too
elementary (he says).
I don't think it is...but is anyone using ANYTHING else that might be considered
"university level" databases in science? If not, I may contact my Gale Rep to see
if they can send some "brainy science rep" to our school to show our teacher how to
utilize this database more effectively. I'd be willing to purchase a database for
him, if he'd consider it useful, but I think he's "hoping" our students can use
"higher level research" databases when in reality, they have problems just browsing
through the subjects in Searchasaurus!)---okay, I'm exaggerating, but I DO have
some students using this database for research (they get lost...I think...I hope!)
I'd like some ideas, suggestions, or advice on this one. This is the real unusual
request that I cannot seem to satisfy.
Thanks for the suggestions!
