[LM_NET] TECH: DSL vs. Cable Internet Service

I am considering switching my Internet service provider from cable to 
DSL, as DSL in my area offers both a lower price (introductory, for one 
year) and a higher speed (7MBs max vs. 5 MBs max).
What kinds of experiences, good or bad, have you had with home DSL 
Internet service?  Have any of you tried both cable and DSL?
