I had asked to hear from only those who were interfiling their paperbacks with
their hardbound copies, so this is really not a decision of whether they should be
interfiled or not.
I received many replies in just over an hours' time. Most cited ease of finding
books by a certain author- regardless of format- as a rationale. Some took the
position that a book by any other name is still a book, ergo they interfile.
The ones that I found most helpful were from those of you who stated that, like
me, you had inherited a separated collection of paperbacks. You stated that you
had now interfiled them and had not regretted the change.
A couple of people replied that interfiling would be their choice, but because of
space limitations or other factors peculiar to their own situations, it was not
very practical for them.
Thanks to all who responded. I wish I had time to write you individually, but I
think I'd better get started interfiling those paperbacks. :-)
