Hi again. After posting a hit, I received two more unique ways of
organizing and storing booktalks from which I thought some of you might
benefit.

Oh, now see, I would do them in excel. Then I could sort by author or
title, or even date of the talk.
Author
Title
Summary
Date
Audience
Geras, Adele
Ithaka
A great version of Odysseus's story written so our students will understand

Golds, Cassandra
Clair-de-Lune
The poor daughter of the best ballerina ever is a lonely child; ridiculed
and avoided by her peers in her dance class and her extremely distant
Grandmother who is raising her to dance. Clair makes friends with a mouse
and a mysterious monk, who teach her about friends and love.

Kadohata, Cynthia
Weedflower
A young girl's life on her family's flower farm before the attack on Pearl
Harbor and their subsequent life in the relocation camps. Very good. Gives
a good view of what life was like and some of the discrimination directed
towards these American citizens

Then when I wanted to print I would do a merge via Word. Or even publisher,
you might actually find a nice little form in there.
We make extensive use of an application called Filemaker Pro, a very
versital database. I keep mine in a database I designed and then I can
search by many different genres, authors, etc.
