Understanding your brain
(The Alzheimer’s Association has put together a great tour of the brain; If
you know someone with Alzheimer’s, you should visit this site)
No computer is as powerful as the human mind. It is fascinating and
important, which is why it’s such a tragedy when it stops working
correctly. The Alzheimer’s Association has put together a great tour of the
brain. The first few pages explain how the brain works. The last few show
how Alzheimer’s affects the brain. You don’t need to be a brain surgeon to
understand the tour. Everything is broken down into simple elements. It also
has interactive features. Mouse over colored words to highlight parts of the
accompanying pictures. If you know someone with Alzheimer’s, you should visit
this site. There are links to other resources and services. Understanding
your mind is the first step to taking care of it.

(The slides on this site would probably be useful to science and health
teachers as it shows which area of the brain performs certain tasks.)
