Dear friends,
Thank you for responding! Most of you added the phrase "good luck!" Your
support has really helped me through this tough technical time. Thanks.
My original question was:
Where is your server kept? Do you deal with it, or does a tech person?
I received 27 replies. The majority of these librarians had the server in
their library. Some took care of it themselves and others, who had great tech
support, let the techie take care of things. The few folks who had the
server in the techie's office had available help and were not left to flounder if
the server crashed (like me).
I will take your collective advice and try to get the server moved to my
space. Hopefully I won't blow it up or wipe out all the records.
If you are interested in the responses verbatim, let me know and I'll send
you a word attachment.
Thanks again!
