I've compiled a list of websites and resources for teachers and my future
reference. I'm copying and pasting it below as I'm not sure if this ring
allows attachments. For my Elementary teachers I'm presenting a program to
each class and I've found some good curriculum guides for each grade located
at http://www.justicelearning.org/constitutionday/index.asp There is a
short appropriate story and discussion questions and pictures for K and
equally appropriate activities for each grade K-12. There is also
information about a talk with Sandra Day O'Connor that will be brodcast
online and via satellite on the 16th. I looked at the clip and it looks
good. On one of the sites I read a press release where General Tommy Franks
will be reading the Preamble at 1:00 Central time, 2:00 Eastern, 11:00
Pacific and they are asking all schools, government offices and military to
stop and recite the Preamble together at this time. I've contacted local TV
stations to see if they will carry this so we can watch school wide and
participate but if not we plan to just all stop at the specified time and
read the Preamble together.
