I think that for some special needs students, the use of the Super 3 is a great way
to modify the Big 6. While the Super 3 is used for elementary students, the
transfer to special needs students lends itself in a perfect way that allows them
to understand the research process. http://www.big6.com/kids/K-2.htm
For those higher functioning students, I think a modification of the Super 3 can be
done by adding more steps, as appropriate to the student.

Hi everyone,
I am hoping someone out there can help me out in a big way. I am taking a class
for my Master's and am writing a practioner's paper. I want to write my paper on
the Big6 and how it can be helpful to students with special needs and how it can be
modified for them. Can anyone help me with the following.
1. How did you modify the Big6?
2. What additional strategies did you use with the Big6?
3. Were you successful? How did it work with students with special needs?
4. Does anyone have any books, journal articles, or internet sites which I could
use in my reference list?
Thanks lots and please email me personally.
