[LM_NET] Eragon, the movie

Hi all,
    Just thought this information might be of interest.  I have just found on the 
web information that a movie version of Eragon, the novel by Christopher Paolini, 
is being filmed.  According to the websites I found, Fox 2000 Pictures has begun 
production in Budapest, Hungary, on the epic fantasy adventure ERAGON.    The 
Twentieth Century Fox release is planned for June 16, 2006.   Following a worldwide 
casting search, which rivaled the hunt for a cinematic ''Harry Potter,'' newcomer 
Ed Speleers was given the title role of Eragon, a young man whose destiny is sealed 
when he learns he is part of an elite troop of Dragon Riders.   Deals are 
reportedly being finalized for Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich and Djimon Hounsou to 
take on key roles.  The movie will be directed by Stefen Fangmeier, who while 
working for Industrial Light & Magic, supervised films such as ''Saving Private 
Ryan,'' " The Perfect Storm'' and ''Master and Commander: The Far Side of the 
World.''   I personally can't wait for this film to come out, and hope it lives up 
to it's promise!
