I generally don't do much reading during the school day unless there is
a specific request that I review something. Last year I got a suggestion
from the superintendent that perhaps some of Stephen King's stuff didn't
belong on our shelves. I had never read any of his works, so I took some
school time to read a chunk of one of his books. The particular copy
that started the conversation ended up in the trash, not because of
content but because of condition. I left two more copies of the same
title on the shelves.
I got in HP6 this fall, but I didn't read it (at home) until a week or
so ago, just to make sure that the kids who wanted it got first crack at
it. Same with the Cirque du Freak series. I won't read them until they
stay on the shelves for a bit.
