[LM_NET] MID: 6th grade novel needed

I host a book club during one lunch period at my middle school campus (6th-8th 
graders) each month. I am in need of a conservative novel for a group of thirty 6th 
graders who will be joining me in the library for reading/lunch for a couple of 
weeks in December. I say "conservative" because we have had a few informal book 
challenges this school year with our 6th grade parents and I sure don't want 
another one during my book club! This is our first year in many years to have 6th 
graders back in the same building as 8th graders in our district. The 5th/6th 
graders were housed at the same campus for many years up until now.

I am thinking that a book with a Christmas setting would be wonderful, but it needs 
to be a book which is of high-interest to 6th graders. Most of our students are 
above-average in their reading levels. Thanks to anyone who could make a suggestion 
for me and I'll definitely post a HIT.
