[LM_NET] TAR: video use by students in the library

We would like to increase accessibility to resources by letting
students use videos/DVDs in the library.  All our videos were bought
as curriculum support.  Some were bought by departments. They are
usually played throught a video distribution system.

What are the copyright ramifications?

Scenario 1:  student missed class and needs to see a video that was shown
Scenario 2:  student is interested in astronomy and we have a DVD on that
Scenario 3:  student just want to watch a video

The public library can check out videos to patrons for home use.  Are
possible snags that we are not "home" and fair use is not met because
it is not face to face instruction?
