 Hi,
One of our Year 7 classes is reading The Cay and their English teacher would
like them to do some research on the Civil Rights Movement. As an
Australian school we don't have much information and I was wondering if you
have any good web sites you could recommend?
I have also been asked to speak to the class as someone who was around in
the States during the 60's. I clearly remember being scared during the
Watts Riots, hearing helicopters overhead, and hiding in a closet!! But
having to speak to the class is strange. People that went thru WWII talk
about their time in history, not me! I'm not THAT old that I am part of
history!!! :-(
