Thanks to everyone who replied. I found it right away. It is a great tool to
use.

What I think you're looking for is the Acme License plate maker
http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/ which is great fun! I did a display a
couple years ago with a map, and reading sayings on all 50 state plates (all
7 letters or less). LV2READ, etc.

I am looking for a website (I know it used to be out there) that allows
students to put their name on a miniature size license plate and then print
it out.  This site had the ability to do every state by simply choosing from
a drop down menu. Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks. This was a great
resource for kids who are traveling by car.  Thank you.
