I am doing a workshop for the faculty at my children's small Catholic school on
incorporating picture books into content lessons. I asked them to challenge me to
find a book on any topic that they teach. I have been able to find a book for every
challenge, except magnets.
Can anybody think of a picture book that mentions magnets in any way? I don't want
a "this is how magnets work" book. I want a story, and the magnet part doesn't have
to be major. Searching has been difficult--many hits turn up for books that have a
set of magnets to go with them. I did find Mickey's Magnets, illustrated by
Crockett Johnson, but it sounds more like a nonfiction text. Thanks for any ideas!
