[LM_NET] TARGET,TECH: portable barcode scanners

I am a new librarian and need to purchase a portable barcode scanner to conduct 
inventory in my library.  I would like to know what types you have found to be 
advantageous and where I might be able to purchase one.  

What about the In-hand Palm.  Has anyone had any experience with this tool?  Is it 
worth the extra cost when compared to the portable barcode scanner?
