You may also wish to find the CBS videotape "Watergate: The Secret Story."

I was fascinated by Bob Woodward's recent story of his LONG STANDING
relationship with Deep Throat. [It goes back pre Woodward's
journalism career, to his first job in the Navy!]

Definitely worth reading! Spellbinding!
Trying to find this article led me to another one which you might
want to share with your son. Nixon/Felt were very much alike (says
the article.) Was Felt a hero or a snitch (or both!) And I'd ask,
"how did Deep Throat's behavior change US history?"
And while we're at it, how about if Bob Woodward had decided he had a
conflict of interest and wasn't allowed to share knowledge of his
contact, friend/mentor Felt!

Another is a Sun Herald article Called "Nixon's ex-aides work another
con" (their words) (The former Watergate Burglars) " rode the cable
news circuit, voicing moral indignation - shock and outrage! - at the
revelation that the FBI's deputy director, Mark Felt, was Deep
Throat. " [Interesting to see those names from history!]

Your sixteen year old's questioning about Watergate reminded me of
another revelation of youth. About 15 or so years ago, my then
husband was teaching Physics at Cal State University Northridge.
Just prior to the start of his lecture he heard the two young (oh,
about 18, or so) girls in the front row share a recent "finding" :
"Did you know that Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings ?!!!?"
Oh, where did those years go!!! :)
Happy First Day of Summer!
Best wishes,
Jane
