TARGET: Building Service beyond the SLMC

Your input, ideas and suggestions are needed!

For numerous reasons beyond our control, students and class groups have increasing 
difficultly/competition with access to our school's media center.  We do not have a 
web based catalog. There's two media specialists, one media clerk. Four block 
schedule, with four lunches spread out over the two mid-day blocks.

I am trying to think of low tech ways to increase "beyond the walls" service.

One idea is a bookcart route to routinely collect books, checkout paperbacks and 
deliver other requested materials. The idea is to be stationed in a different 
hallway each day of the week during the last half of 1st block.

Ideas and experience will be appreciated; shared if there is group interest.
