I have a sixth grade teacher who wants to do "something else except another
book report" with her students after they've read a book. She doesn't want
to make this too involved (since they will be reading 5-10 books throughout
the year) but she does want to provide them with a way to show that they've
read the book. This would be for individual students and not as a class
project---they are doing some of the more difficult projects with books as a
class.
She doesn't like AR and will not use it. I've suggested a couple of things
to her but wanted to ask for more ideas.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, could you let me know? I will compile
a HIT if others are interested (I have a couple of "to-do" HITS that I will
complete this weekend on other topics....) You may respond to me off-list.
Thanks for the brain-cell activities on this one!
