I think I remember Carol Simpson saying something last year about there
being a lawsuit (or people are gearing up for a lawsuit) against
Turnitin.com because of this--submitting / taking students' works and
placing them in the company databases without the students' permission,
in order to check against past / future problems of plagiarism.
However, I may have been dreaming this....<g>

I think that this wrong. From a legal standpoint, I think that students
should be able to give a paper to a teacher with the expectation that it
