[LM_NET] antonym of epistemology

Hello Lm_netters:
I am trying to remember a philosophical/religious term for one who studies
the end of the world.  I don't know that apocryphia (sp.?) is exactly the
word we're looking for.  I tried under antonyms for epistemology, but didn't
find it there either.  Any ideas?
