I work as a librarian in a preschool and there is so much you can teach the little
ones. However, I want library time to be more than just fingerplays, songs, and
reading stories. There isn't much space for a lot of artsy stuff--although I do a
little. Any suggestions of "skills" to teach? We have discussed real and
make-believe books and parts of books (including spine labels and what they tell
us). I will introduce a unit on authors/illustrators.
TIA,
Renee
