Two 3rd grade classes are going to visit a V A hospital and in preparation for the
field trip the teachers would like to read some fiction or nonfiction picture books
about WW I, WW II, or the Korean and Gulf Wars. We're looking for something that
focuses on the military personnel and the fighting rather than books like The
Bicycle Man or How My Parents Learned to Eat. Most of our students are below grade
level so the books shouldn't be too complicated. Please send me any suggestions
you think would be appropriate. Thanks.
