[LM_NET] OT: Dog Story

Hello,
        The Ithaca Journal features particular pets that need a home on a regular 
basis.  The pet featured on Friday was especially appealing.  The dog has a special 
story that I wanted to share with you.  They let the dog speak for himself.  I wish 
the picture was available online, but that is not the case.


DEUCE

        "Age is a state of mind and you are only as old as you feel.  I live my 
life by these truths.  My name is Deuce and I am the youngest 14-year-old dog you 
will ever meet.  I love life and it shows in my affection for people and my 
excitement for the great outdoors.  Show me the leash and I'm there.  For the last 
8 years of my life, I served as a blood donor for other dogs in need.  Now I 
deserve to live out my golden years surrounded by the love and care I've earned.  
All in all, I'm in good shape for a dog of my years and I know we can be happy 
together."
