[LM_NET] GEN: SLMS Award Deadline Extensions

Applications for the following School Library Media Section of NYLA Awards
has been extended until March 1, 2005:

The Boyds Mills Press Conference Award provides $400 for a direct service
school library media specialist to attend a full SLMS Conference, which is
being held in Melville, NY, May 5-7, 2005.
The SLMS Scholarship Award provides $750 for continuing education to a
certified SLMS currently employed in NYS.
The Beatrice E. Griggs Scholarship Award provides $500 for an individual
currently enrolled in a program leading to certification as a school
library media specialist.
The Carole A. Kearney Memorial Scholarship Award, sponsored by Follett,
provides $250 for a certified SLMS employed in NYS, to attend the annual
Leadership Retreat held at Cornell on August 8-9, 2005.

Application deadline: March 1, 2005
